|INTERACTION DESIGN COURSE (2016)|
Interaction Design course (DD 301) is an introductory course on Interaction Design, taught to undergraduate students in Department of Design (DoD), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati. This is a 6 credit course. The course is taken for 5th semester students during July-December. The course is taught through a combination of theories and their applications through a practical project.
The course starts with defining interaction design, brief history of Interaction Design and different approaches/methods of designing interactions. We specifically detail the method of Goal Oriented Design method. It covers theories of contextual inquiry, data modeling, persona creation, framework design, information architecture, task flows and wireframes. It also covers formative and summative evaluation methods.
The students register themselves on moodle cloud platform where weekly schedules, assignments, reading materials, quiz and other relevant academic information is provided in details.
