PROJECTS

Swasthyaa is a project under IMPRINT initiative co-funded by MHRD and ICMR to curb the worsening condition of TB in Assam. The project is aimed to reduce initial and retreatment TB defaulters through real-time tracking and monitoring of patient’s health progress and DOTS intake. It uses advances of ICT – a combination of web, mobile phone, and IVR along with newly designed blister packets to achieve proposed objectives. The project also uses artificial intelligence to predict the defaulters to take preventive measures. The project is in collaboration with State TB Cell, Directorate of Health Services, Government of Assam, India.

Swasthyaa was launched on 24th July 2018 in Guwahati press club in the presence of dignitaries of State TB Cell, Assam, and IIT Guwahati. It will conduct field trials in two districts – Kamrup and Nalbari of Assam, India. The two districts will cover quarterly 1000 patients.
